Borneo Tertiary Students Camp

I went to Kuching for BTSC during the raya break. It was in a campsite bout an hour out of Kuching. Nice place, jungly place. It is also my first time in a camp where the majority are bumi east malaysians. I was glad for my few months being in the Southern region before this camp. Cos most of the students I serve are east malaysians. Twas a good cultural exchange experience for me. Once or twice did a boo boo in terms of being sensitive to their ways...but the students were very gracious.

Making 'pongsu'. put in fish, terung, ginger, and whatever else you like into bamboo!
then cook in fire for an hour or so. (btw, fish was caught in the pond u see in the campsite photo above)
BBQ on another occasion for grad helpers and staff before camp started.
ok. now pongsu ready! gravy or soup is from the bamboo shoot mix with fish, etc...

Reflection time for students on last day of camp.

Normal meal time scene. No proper dining hall, we dine in Nature's dining hall!
